Annual Milfoil Mitigation Project

NOTE: DLPPA was granted 501(c)(3) status in April 2018 by the IRS. We are now on the IRS electronic list of non-profits, and part of Amazon Smile.
2019 MILFOIL TREATMENTS: The DES inspected the Pond after ice-out and discovered that milfoil sparesely covered 19 acres. The pond was treated with 2,4-D herbicide in mid-June. Within several weeks nearly all milfoil was eliminated.
DLPPA hopes to switch to ProcellaCOR in 2020. While 2,4-D has a very safe track record, ProcellaCOR is considered less aggressive and has a greater residual effect. DLPPA expects that treatments can be reduced to every two years.
